MEDIATION
THE MEDIATION PROCESS
Mediation is a process whereby two or more parties agree to discuss and resolve their case or issues outside of the court trial process. The process is not binding to a party if one or more parties decides not to be bound for any reason. However, if the parties come to a mutual agreement to be bound, a settlement agreement will be drafted that will include all issues that were resolved in the mediation process. Often, mediation is the best resolution for all parties involved in a legal dispute or disagreement, as all parties have full control over the final outcome.

MANNERS OF REPRESENTATION
There are two manners where you may hire a representative from this office to assist you in the mediation process.
• You may hire a representative from this office to be the “mediator”. A mediator is a person who does not represent any party within the mediation. The mediator is an independent person who resides as a referee to the mediation process.
• You may hire a representative from this office to assist you as a personal representative to the mediation process. Representation in this capacity would be as an attorney or advisor, representing you and/or your company, in the mediation.

MEDIATION REDUCES LEGAL COSTS AND EXPENSES
Mediation reduces legal costs and expenses as it allows a potentially rapid conclusion to a dispute. The potential for rapid conclusion will allow the parties to immediately move forward with other business or personal matters, not being hindered by a one or two year legal court case.

This office provides mediation for business, real estate, injuries, and other matters in various capacities. Please contact our office to inquire if your case can be mediated.
